Here is what we have heard from our foster
home:
We have been working with him for a few months now- he's getting his
vaccinations April 25th...
Lee (we call him Blizzard) is food aggressive but otherwise a very easy
managed horse- ground manners are now GREAT, stands for farrier, can be
led by little kids, stands cross tied for grooming and saddling.
Stands still for mounting and dismounting.
He would probably make a better trail horse than a 4-H horse - He is
getting better about being gate sour but you can't "fall asleep" on him!
Works fine in a snaffle but, he still tosses his head a bit but needs
someone who has quiet heels and hands, not for beginners...he works ok
with other horses, will lead or follow, doesn't spook much for being an
Arabian.
We'll keep working with
Blizzard- he'd make some teenager a great riding horse- his ground
manners make him a nice first horse and a good prospect for a confident
rider! We love him but know that he's going to make someone very
happy.
(If they don't mind a white horse who likes mud!) |
